The Department of European Political and Governance Studies complements the academic programme with  challenging and professionalising extracurricular activities giving students first-hand experience working in different policy areas as young professionals:

• SPECQUE is the largest French-language simulation of the European Parliament.
• For the second consecutive year, the Institute of European Studies (IEE) of the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and the European Political and Governance Studies Department (POL) of the College of Europe organise a series of debates on the future of Europe.
• Eu!radio podcasts - L'Europe vue de Bruges (Europe as seen from Bruges), is a series of podcast episodes for the radio station Eu!radio. Each week, an episode analyzing a theme proposed and written by a student.
• TellUs is a project lead by the POL department in conjunction with the EUropean Commission DG RTD where students meet with commission experts to discuss topics related to research driven policy making.
