TellUs

Now entering its 6th edition, TellUs is the College of Europe’s flagship extracurricular initiative connecting academic insight with real-world EU policymaking. Coordinated by the Department of European Political and Governance Studies (POL) and supported by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation (DG RTD), this unique project offers students an exceptional platform to contribute directly to the future of European science and innovation policy.

Over the academic year, selected students will work in small teams to develop policy proposals tackling some of the most pressing challenges in EU research and innovation. From evidence-based policymaking to researcher engagement and foresight strategies, participants will shape ideas that could have real impact.

What makes TellUs stand out?

  • Two in-depth working meetings with DG RTD experts, offering direct dialogue with those at the heart of EU policymaking.
  • Hands-on policy research with academic and institutional support.
  • A culminating plenary session at DG RTD headquarters in Brussels, where students present their work to top-level Commission officials, including the Director-General and Deputy Director-General.
  • The opportunity to draft a professional policy report, published as part of the initiative’s final output.

As a bridge between academic training and professional life, TellUs equips students with the skills, experience, and exposure needed to thrive in European affairs - all just weeks before graduation.

Whether you're passionate about science and innovation, curious about EU institutions, or eager to make your voice heard in the policymaking process, TellUs offers a one-of-a-kind chance to be at the table - not just in the classroom.
