Sami Andoura is visiting Professor at the College of Europe in the Bruges and Tirana campuses on climate and energy policies. Sami Andoura has been previously working at the European Commission. He was adviser on the European Green Deal at DG IDEA (2020-2025) and the leader of the sustainable development team at the European Political Strategy Centre (2015-2020), the successive advisory services of the President of the European Commission, reporting directly to the President and his/her Head of Cabinet. He provided strategic analysis and policy advice on matters related to the European Green Deal, the Energy Union and Climate Action, and other issues related to Jobs, Growth, Innovation and Investments policies.
Before joining the European Commission, Sami Andoura has been Chairholder of the European Energy Policy Chair at the College of Europe in Bruges, Senior Research Fellow at the Jacques Delors Institute, Senior Research Fellow in charge of the European Affairs programme at the EGMONT - The Royal Institute for International Relations, and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Studia Diplomatica - The Brussels Journal for International Relations.
Sami Andoura started his professional career as Business layer in the Brussels office of the Law firm Lovells (2005), and completed his degree in Law at Paris II Panthéon-Assas University and holds LLMs in European Business Law at Paris II Panthéon-Assas University, in International Economic Law at Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne University, and in European Legal Studies from the College of Europe.
