Nataša Veinović was born in Zagreb in 1965, where she graduated in Croatian language and literature and South Slavic philology.
She worked in a library as well as in primary and secondary schools, and since 2001 has been involved in teaching Croatian as a second and foreign language.
As a lecturer of Croatian language, literature, and culture, she worked at domestic and foreign universities; from 2001 to 2004, she taught Croatian at the University of "Kiril and Metodij" in Skopje, from 2005 to 2008 at the "Ivan Franko" University in Lviv, from 2009 to 2011 at the“ Beijing Foreign Studies University“ in Beijing, from 2011 to 2012 at the „College of Education „in Baja, from 2012 to 2015 at the „Baltic Federal University I. Kant “ in Kaliningrad, from 2016 to 2019 at „Indiana University“ in Bloomington, and from 2019 to 2022 at the "Karl Franzens" University in Graz. From 2023 until April 2026, she was employed as a lecturer of Croatian language at the Department of South Slavic Languages and Literatures at Istanbul University.
She is the editor of the book' Kada se slova presele na tvoje lice' (a translation of contemporary Croatian poetry into Ukrainian) and a member of the editorial team for the books 'Hrvatski mozaik' and 'Lađa od riječi. '(contemporary Croatian prose).
Her main professional and scientific interests are focused on teaching and learning Croatian as a second and foreign language, extending to linguistic and cultural interactions.
