Prof. dr Luiza Białasiewicz Bialasiewicz teaches at Natolin a contextual course titled “Mapping the World: Geopolitical Imaginations Past and Present.” In this course, you will examine some of the principal currents of geopolitical thought that continue to inspire contemporary visions of global affairs, while also examining the transformations of the EU as a geopolitical actor today.
Prof. Białasiewicz is Professor of Political and Economic Geography at Ca’ Foscari, University of Venice. Between 2011and 2024, she was Professor of European Governance at the University of Amsterdam, where she also directed the Amsterdam Centre for European Studies. Her research focuses on EU foreign policy and geopolitics, migration and border governance, and far-right politics in Europe. She is one of the editors of the international journal Environment and Planning C: Politics and Space.
