Current position: Lucas Schramm is a senior researcher and lecturer at the Geschwister Scholl Institute of Political Science at Ludwig Maximilians University of Munich. He holds a Ph.D. in Social and Political Sciences from the European University Institute in Florence and degrees in European Political and Administrative Studies and in Political Science from the College of Europe in Bruges and from Trier University.

Research interests: concern the history and theories of European integration, European Union crisis politics, and Franco-German political relations in the EU.

Recent publications: His books include “Crises of European Integration – Joining Together or Falling Apart?” (Palgrave, 2024) and “The European Council” (Bloomsbury, forthcoming). He has further published in leading academic journals, such as European Political Science Review, Journal of European Public Policy, Journal of Common Market Studies, and West European Politics.
