Alexander Katsaitis is Associate Professor and Deputy Director of Studies at the Department of Political Science at Stockholm University. Prior to SU he held positions at the London School of Economics and Political Science, University of Oslo, European University Institute, and wrote his PhD at University College London.
His research focuses on the interaction between policymakers and organized interests, decision-making procedures, and transnational partisan linkages. It aims to improve government policymaking through evidence-based recommendations in the areas of governance, transparency, and accountability.
His work appears in academic journals such as the Journal of European Public Policy, Public Administration, JCMS: Journal of Common Market Studies, Journal of European Integration, Socio-Economic Review, Regulation & Governance, European Union Politics, and International Affairs. He has also published a co-authored monograph on Business Lobbying in the EU (2021), and co-edited the Handbook on Lobbying & Public Policy (2024).
