Alejandro LÓPEZ BO

Alejandro López Bo is an Academic Assistant for the Department of European Transformation and Integration Studies (ETI) on the Tirana campus of the College of Europe (2025).

Alejandro grew up in Spain and studied in France, Germany and Belgium. He graduated from Sciences Po Paris with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a Master’s degree in Law and Finance. He obtained an LL.M. in European Legal Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges, where he focused on competition, agriculture and trade.

Professionally, Alejandro has gained experience at the European Commission (DG COMP, State aid instrument) and in international law firms such as Loyens & Loeff in Luxembourg, where he worked on capital markets and regulatory compliance, and Fratini Vergano in Brussels, where he specialised in EU and WTO trade law and policy.

His academic and professional interests lie at the intersection of EU law, trade policy, sustainability, and European neighborhood and integration policies. Alejandro is fluent in English, Spanish, Valencian, French, Italian, and German, and has worked extensively in multicultural and multilingual environments.
