Visit of Ambassador Vsevolod Chentsov
“We witnessed Ukrainian flags not only on city halls but also on citizen’s windows. This unity is also important next to the material support.”
As this week marks the third anniversary of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, we were deeply honored to welcome, upon invitation of the European Union Diplomatic Academy, on Friday 28 February, Vsevolod Chentsov, Head of the Mission of Ukraine to the European Union and the European Atomic Energy Community, at the College of Europe.
The ambassador reminded our students and young diplomats of the tragedy of the war. He expressed Ukraine’s gratitude for Europe’s support but most of all, for the unity shown in these last three years.
He called for this unity to continue and be strengthened as a condition for peace.
The ambassador called for the EU to increase its support: “Europe needs to give what is possible to Ukraine to ensure it can protect itself.”
