College of Europe at the EU-Western Balkans Summit
On Wednesday, 13th December, Rector Federica Mogherini and a Delegation from the College of Europe in Bruges were invited to join the EU-Western Balkans Summit at the Council of the European Union.
As we’re preparing to start academic activities in our new campus in Tirana, Charles Michel, President of the European Council, called on EU Member States to pledge scholarships to the College. We were happy to see that twenty-one Member States pledged scholarships.
College of Europe in Tirana - Applications are open!
On Sunday, 15th October, Rector Federica Mogherini was in Tirana together with EU Commission President, Ursula Von der Leyen, Albania's Prime Minister, Edi Rama, and EU Ambassador to Albania, Luigi Soreca, to launch the applications for the academic year 2024/2025 for the new master programme. President Von der Leyen also announced that the EU Commission will offer fifteen scholarships for students from the Western Balkans in the next three years.
Signing of Memorandum of Understanding - College of Europe in Tirana
On Friday, 6 October, Rector Federica MOGHERINI signed in Tirana a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Mayor of Tirana, Erion VELIAJ, and the Albanian Minister of Education, Ogerta MANASTIRLIU, marking the establishment of the College of Europe Campus in the city.
