New Cooperation with the Kuwait Diplomatic Institute

Strengthening diplomatic training and cooperation – this is the objective of the Memorandum of Understanding that the College of Europe and the Saud AlNasser AlSabah Kuwait Diplomatic Institute signed on 8 November 2024. The MoU aims to foster the exchange of expertise and address global challenges on topics such as climate change, peace and security, human rights, and women’s empowerment.

The signing ceremony was attended by Assistant Foreign Minister for Kuwait Diplomatic Institute Ambassador Nasser S. Al-Sabeeh, College of Europe Rector Federica Mogherini, European Union Ambassador to Kuwait Anne Koistinen and Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the Kingdom of Belgium and the EU Ambassador Nawaf Alenezi.

Rector Federica Mogherini stated: “The College of Europe is delighted to be partnering with the Saud AlNasser AlSabah Kuwait Diplomatic Institute. In recent years, we have developed a solid expertise in diplomatic training, in particular since we started hosting the European Union Diplomatic Academy. Sharing our expertise and helping reinforce the EU-Kuwait relationship by building the capacity of the Kuwaiti diplomatic service is a role we are honoured to play.“
