High-Level EU Talk with EU Special Representative for the Sahel Region, Ambassador João CRAVINHO

On 19 February 2026, the College of Europe in Natolin had the pleasure to host Ambassador João CRAVINHO, EU Special Representative for the Sahel Region and former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Portugal. Ambassador CRAVINHO will meet with Natolin community to speak about the EU's role in the Sahel region.

About the speaker:

Mr João CRAVINHO took up his duties as EUSR on 1 December 2024. Mr CRAVINHO served as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Portugal from 2022 to 2024. He previously held the positions of Minister of National Defence, EU Ambassador to Brazil, EU Ambassador to India, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Lecturer of International Relations at Coimbra University and President of the Portuguese Cooperation Institute.
