Mathilde DELPLA

Mathilde DELPLA graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Humanities and Social Sciences from Sciences Po Paris and a double Master’s degree in Public Policy from Sciences Po Paris and the Hertie School. As part of the Victoria Amelina promotion (2025–2026), she pursued an MA in European Political and Governance Studies in Bruges. Alongside her academic training, Mathilde worked as a Project Officer at Le Cercle des économistes, where she produced analytical briefs and press articles on economic issues. She also gained expertise in gender equality, public-policy analysis and democratic governance through research and advocacy work with the Association of Former Female Deputies, as well as through policy research experience in the think-tank sector. Her research has notably examined the harmonisation of EU criminal law on sexual violence, with a particular focus on consent-based approaches to rape law. 

Her academic and professional interests include gender equality and fundamental rights, EU criminal-law harmonisation, digital and industrial policy, and public-policy analysis.
