Linda van Goor has been working with Europe’s financial sector since 1991, as an academic professor in corporate finance, a PhD in financial history and the origins of modern banking, a lobbyist for the Dutch banks, and as a prudential supervisor in the Dutch central bank. During the GFC, Linda worked in Brussels at the European Commission to review and draft legislation regarding European supervision of financial groups, also representing the European Commission in Basel. In 2020 she co-published The Basics of Money & Banking. Since 2015 she has her own firm, Regulatory Communication, evidence based advocacy, finding balance in financial regulation that does justice to all, banks & businesses, citizens, supervisors & central banks, different political colours, as well as the planet. She became a member of the Club of Rome in 2026.
