Panel Discussion: "Women in Multilateralism"

On Monday, April 28th, 2025, we hosted an empowering panel discussion on the past, present, and future of women in multilateralism, thanks to the initiative of the students of the Young Diplomats Society.

Ms María Fernanda ESPINOSA, former President of the United Nations General Assembly and Executive Director of GWL Voices, Ms Cristina GALLACH FIGUERAS,  journalist, former high-ranking official at the EU and the UN and board member of GWL Voices, and Rector Federica MOGHERINI took the stage to share with our students their unique experiences at the highest levels of diplomacy and international organisations.

Drawing from the GWL Voices 2025 Women in Multilateralism Report, the speakers reflected on the long journey of women's representation in global governance, the progress achieved, and the work that still lies ahead to break barriers for the next generation of female leaders.
Their testimonies offered a powerful call to responsibility: to build a more inclusive, diverse, and resilient multilateral system that truly reflects the richness of our societies!
