Guest lecture by the Head of the Council of Europe Office

Last week, we had the chance to welcome Giulia Re, the Head of the Council of Europe Office in Tirana, to our campus for a guest lecture.

In the framework of Professor Gentian Elezi’s course, “Democratic Consolidation and the Rule of Law in Southeastern Europe”, she gave an overview of the Council of Europe’s work and how it helps the Albanian authorities continue to improve legislation, institutional practices, and policies.

During an open exchange with our students, she also addressed the ongoing challenges to human rights, democratic consolidation, and the rule of law in Albania.
