The Africa-EU Week on Competition Policy Returned to Bruges

The College of Europe was proud to host the third edition of the Africa- EU Week on Competition Policy, from 23-27  September 2024 in Bruges.

Organised in collaboration with the European Commission, this event brought together over 40 participants from over 20 African countries to foster cooperation among African national and regional competition authorities by examining competition laws and enforcement policies.

Throughout the week, participants had the opportunity to assess their countries' competition practices and legislation and create a platform for dialogue aimed at promoting convergence among African authorities.

The ultimate goal of the Africa-EU Week on Competition Policy was to enhance fair competition enforcement, to the benefit of citizens and companies across Africa and the EU.
