3rd GCLC annual guest lecture with Wouter Wils

Wouter Wils

On Friday, November 15th, Wouter Wils delivered the 3rd GCLC annual guest lecture at the College of Europe. The lecture dealt with the issue of whether companies that have received immunity from fines under the competition authorities’ leniency programmes should also be exempted from follow-on actions for damages. The lecture was followed by a lively Q&A session that raised interesting issues regarding policy objectives and competition law enforcement. Following two previous guest lectures from Advocate General Kokott and Professor Ioannis Lianos, the annual GCLC guest lecture has become a highlight for competition law debate within the College.
