Eleventh high-level "EU Diplomacy Lecture" with Dr. Sven Koopmans

On Thursday, October 17, 2024, we had the pleasure of welcoming Dr. Sven Michael George KOOPMANS, EU Special Representative for the Middle East Peace Process, at our Bruges campus.

The event, organized by the Department of EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies, is part of our high-level EU Diplomacy Lectures, which every year bring to the College prominent figures in diplomacy and international relations to engage with our academic and student community.

Drawing on his extensive experience in the field, Dr. Koopmans shared insights on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the EU’s role in fostering peace in the region.

His perspectives into the unspoken truths of this long-standing conflict and actions needed for its resolution left us all with much to reflect on!
