The EESC President, Mr. Oliver Röpke visited CoET campus

Last week, our students had the opportunity to meet with the President of the European Economic and Social Committee, Mr. Oliver Röpke.

The EESC President visited our campus in the sidelines of his visit in Tirana to launch the newly established EU-Albania Joint Consultative Committee, which serves as one of the main institutional channels for the participation of civil society organizations from the candidate countries in the EU accession negotiations.

In a conversation with our Resident Professor Odeta Barbullushi, Mr Röpke explained the objectives and the mode of working of the EESC as well as its contribution to EU accession, democracy and to building more inclusive societies in the candidate countries.

The EESC President was accompanied by two College of Europe alumni (currently EESC staff), which presented an excellent opportunity for our students to learn more about the EESC as one of the career options in the EU institutions.

College of Europe – Tirana Campus is funded by the European Union.
