Dutch and Irish Ambassadors at Our Tirana Campus
Did you know that Ireland is taking over the Presidency of the Council of the European Union this summer?
Recently, our Celtic and Benelux student-led societies organized the “EU Enlargement and the Role of Member States” event, bringing together the Irish Ambassador to Albania, Ciara O’Floinn, a CoE Natolin alumna and resident in Greece, and the Dutch Ambassador to Albania, Reinout Vos, on our Tirana campus.
Both ambassadors discussed the role of Ireland and the Netherlands in shaping the EU enlargement process, the upcoming Irish Presidency starting on 1 July, the work of their respective embassies, and their support for the Western Balkans’ path towards EU membership.
A heartfelt thank you to both ambassadors for such an open conversation with our curious students.
