Discover the rebranded Intensive Seminar on the EU, launching this summer!

In its 32nd edition, the Intensive Seminar on the EU is launching a brand-new format designed to better serve the needs of professionals in EU affairs, and we are excited to share it with you.

In this revised format, we offer two specialised tracks, each catering to different needs:

Track 1 – Governance Programme (30 June – 11 July) This two-week programme provides a comprehensive overview of the EU’s governance and institutional structures. The first week delves into the EU’s internal setup, exploring its democratic challenges and institutional frameworks. The second week shifts focus to external action and enlargement, concluding with a highly interactive simulation game on EU negotiations. This track is ideal for professionals engaged in EU relations, negotiations, governance, and external affairs.

Track 2 – Policies and Priorities Programme (30 June  4 July) This intensive one-week programme focuses on the EU’s key policy portfolios, including digital, defence, trade, and environment. Participants will explore pressing issues relevant to the current Commission mandate. This track is particularly well-suited for technical experts, policy analysts, and professionals working across multiple EU policy areas who require swift, in-depth policy insights.

As in previous years, participants will benefit from l’esprit du Collège, living and learning at our campus in Bruges. Both tracks include evening activities and networking opportunities dedicated to peer learning and building connections with other participants. Additionally, the Governance Programme includes a day trip to Brussels and access to pre-recorded modules to prepare for the seminar.
