The College of Europe welcomes Rt Hon Nick Thomas-Symonds MP in Bruges

On 16 September 2025, we had the pleasure of welcoming the Rt Hon Nick Thomas-Symonds MP, UK Paymaster General and Minister for the Constitution and European Union Relations, to our Bruges campus.

His visit came at a particularly significant moment for Europe and the United Kingdom. From trade and tariffs to security challenges, migration, and shifting international geopolitics, students of the College had the opportunity to hear first-hand insights on some of the most pressing issues currently shaping our continent.

We are grateful to the Minister for joining us in Bruges and for sharing his perspective on the evolving UK–EU partnership with our students.
