Celebrating 10 years of the POL Simulation Game
This year, at the College of Europe we proudly celebrate the 10th anniversary of the POL Simulation Game, an integral component of the European Political and Governance Studies programme.
Every year, for three weeks, POL students immerse themselves in a role-playing simulation exercise, engaging in multilateral negotiations within and between EU Institutions under the Ordinary Legislative Procedure.
Under the expert guidance of Professors Jon WORTH, Pierpaolo SETTEMBRI, and Costanza HERMANIN, they will step into the shoes of EU Commissioners, Member State representatives, MEPs, journalists, and various stakeholders while discussing a real Commission proposal still under discussion at the time of the exercise.
This year, the topic at stake is the proposal for a Directive establishing harmonized requirements in the internal market on transparency of interest representation carried out on behalf of third countries.
We wish our students the best of luck in their upcoming negotiations! We are eager to see the innovative solutions they will propose and the fresh perspectives they will bring to the table!
