HIGH-LEVEL Lecture by Advocate General Tamara ĆAPETA on "Values and Diversity in the EU: a Perspective from the CJEU" | European Neighbourhood Chair

The European Neighbourhood Chair of the College of Europe in Natolin was honoured to organise a high-level lecture titled "Values and Diversity in the EU: a perspective from the CJEU" by a distinguished guest speaker Prof. Tamara ĆAPETA, Advocate General of the Court of Justice of the European Union.

In her lecture, Advocate General Tamara ĆAPETA focused on the changing role of respect for EU values, both internally in the European Union and externally in its relations with EU neighbours. 

This was a unique opportunity to hear about past and pending cases at the Court of Justice of the European Union where Tamara ĆAPETA currently serves. 

About the speaker:

Prof. Tamara ĆAPETA is Advocate General at the Court of Justice of the European Union as of 7 October 2021. 

Before becoming a member of the Court, she pursued an academic career as professor of EU law at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Law. She was Head of the EU Law department as well as of the postgraduate programmes in European law. She was also an academic coordinator of a Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence “EU Global Leadership in the Rule of Law”. 

Prof. ĆAPETA has participated in numerous international research projects and published extensively on different topics of EU law.
